Edmund "Ed" Stratman, son of Alben and Caroline (Koch) Stratman, was born February 3, 1920 at St. Helena, NE. He sold auto parts in Eastern South Dakota for years, making his home in Sioux Falls, SD and later Vermillion, SD. After his retirement Ed made his home in Mitchell, SD.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD.
Grateful for having shared his life are three step children, JoAnne (Gerry) Christensen Bjorlo, Melrose, MN, Lorraine (Bob) Charrlin, Warensburg, MO, Judy (Bill) Schmitz, Stafford, VA; a step daughter-in-law, Genny Ruhaak, Elk Point, SD; his brother, Clarence Stratman, Mitchell, SD; two sisters, Frieda Stratman, Mitchell, SD and Sister Armella Stratman, Aberdeen, SD.
He was preceded in death by his two wives, Delores (Raap) Stratman and Rose (Ruhaak) Stratman; his parents; one brother, Lawrence; one sister, Melanie Stratman; a step-son, William "Billy" Ruhaak; and a sister-in-law, Martha Stratman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday August 8, 2007 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at St. Michael Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.
