Leon J. Barney, of 74440 Wortman Road, Rainier, died March 3, 1986, in a Longview hospital. He was 71.
He was born March 9, 1915, at Trout Creek, Mich., and had lived in the local area since March 1978.
Mr. Barney was a retired foreman for Rhinelander (St. Regis) Paper Co. in Rhinelander, Wis. He was a member of the Longview Elks Lodge.
Surviving him are a daughter, Maureen Towne of Phoenixville, Penn.; a son, James L. Barney of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will take place Friday in Rhinelander.
Friends may pay their respects until 8 this evening at Steele Funeral Home, which is in charge of local arrangements.
