HUNTSVILLE - Our dear angel mother, Beatrice Shupe Peterson, 92, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at her home. She was born Nov. 22, 1912 , in North Ogden, a daughter of Parley Grant and Luella Chadwick Shupe. She married J. Orville Peterson on April 2, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 2, 1998. She was a member of the Huntsville 1st Ward where she served in many church positions. She had been a resident of Huntsville since 1940. Her life was one of service to her family, neighbors, and many friends. Surviving six sons and four daughters, Faye (Don) Clark, Ogden; Lynn G. (Maureen) Peterson, Eden; J. Craig (Peggy) Peterson, Huntsville; Donald R. ( Mary) Peterson, Hooper; Karma Peterson, Huntsville; James W. ( Joy) Peterson, Layton; Joan (James) Rumsey, Roy; Sonya Hartmann, Huntsville; Orville R. (Shanna) Peterson, Eden; Robert Q. ( Debbie) Peterson, North Ogden; 67 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are seven brothers and one sister, Russell, James, Verle, Owen, Merrill, Kay, and G. LaMont Shupe; Arlene Lucas. She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Huntsville 1st Ward, 277 So. 7400 E. Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary Sunday, Feb. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Huntsville Cemetery.
