She left her homeland and arrived in Canada in 1952 where she married Alan Barker in April of that year. He predeceased her in 1980. Margaret married William Mountain in 1984; they remained happily married until his death in 2016. Throughout her life, Margaret particularly enjoyed travelling, golfing, quilting and spending time with her Ottawa friends. Also, outdoor living, especially her cottage time with Bill held a special place in her heart. According to Margaret's wishes, there will be no formal service.
