Michael Leo Andries of McKinney, Texas passed away June 9, 2020 at the age of 75.

He was a 1963 graduate of Holy Savior Menard Catholic School in Alexandria, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University and Northwestern State University before joining the United States Marine Corps in May of 1966.

He served his country proudly in Khe Sanh, Vietnam during the Tet Offensive of 1968 as a Corporal for the United States Marine Corps. After he was discharged from duty, Michael and Karen married in Prescott, Arizona. They lived in Louisiana for a short time before moving to California. Together, he and Karen raised their two daughters in California before settling in Texas in 1990.

After retirement, they bought a cattle farm in Blue Ridge, Texas. Michael enjoyed tending the farm for several years before his health declined. Being at home, he valued spending time with his wife, Karen and dogs, Winston and Hilts. During their time together, Michael and Karen traveled to numerous countries with family and friends. He loved watching Fox News. Michael most loved making delicious meals for his family and keeping his lawn pretty for all to see.

Michael is survived by his wife, Karen Parson Andries; two daughters, Ashley Andries (wife Laura) and Danielle Andries; and his brothers and sisters, Ronnie, Kala, Alice, Alan, Lynn, Candace, and Terry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruby Andries; and a brother, Donald Andries.
