Anna Townley was the 2nd child born to Luke Townley and Rebecca Jones.

She married Benjamin Gainer in 1821. They had at least 4 known children, but at the time of his death and probate only their daughters Rebecca Ann Jane Gainer Allen and Welthie Ann Tabitha Gainer Suggs were his surviving heirs. Anna had died after 1850 and before his death in 1856.
