Mary Elizabeth Devlin, the 2nd of five daughters of John Andrew Devlin and the former Agnes Isabella Wardlaw, was born in Cedar Springs, South Carolina on the 16th of October 1873. She was known by family and friends as Minnie.
At the age of 23, Minnie married Frank Lee Woodruff on January 13th 1897 in Due West, South Carolina. Minnie and Frank emigrated to the area around Sanford, Florida and raised the following children:
Frank Lee, Jr. (1898 – 1954)
John Devlin (1900 – 1967)
Ralph Galloway (1905 – 1991)
Harry Shine (1906 – 2000)
