NEW YEAR'S BABY
DIES EASTER EVE

Miss Pauline Deutsch, But Three
and One-Half Months Old, Dies
After Week's Illness Sunday
Evening. Was First 1933 Local Baby.

Infant Pauline Doris Deutsch,
born New Years Day as the first
Sycamore baby of 1933, died Easter
Sunday at the home of her parents
north of Sycamore after a week's
fatal illness. She was but three
months and a half old.
The passing was a definite shock
to her parents and their many
friends and neighbors who today
extend their sympathy to them in
their time of sorrow.
The child was the second to enter
the Deutsch home in Charter Grove,
in Sycamore township and had been
the recipient of a merchants shower
in The True Republican's annual
New Year's Baby gift observance.
Pauline Deutsch was the first
girl to ever receive the merchants'
shower since the opening of the annual
event in 1930. She had been
ill for more than a week it is reported.
Death came about 7 p. m. Easter evening.
The parents, Paul and Amelia Lenschow
Deutsch, mourn the loss
as does the surviving older child.
Funeral rites will be held from the
home at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon
and from the Lutheran church of Burlington
at 2:15 o'clock.
Burial will be in Burlington.
