BABY BOY DROWNS
IN WATERING TANK

Richard, 17-Month-Old Son of
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Deutsch
of Charter Grove, Found
Dead by Father
Thursday.

Richard Deutsch, 17 months old,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Deutsch
of Charter Grove, was accidentally
drowned in a watering trough at
his home at about 5 o'clock Thursday
afternoon. Discovery of the
boy was made by the father when
he drove his team up to the tank.
The baby was taken at once to
the Sycamore Municipal hospital,
but life was extinct. It is believed
that the baby had died before the
body was discovered.
The child had been playing in
the yard and is believed to have
climbed the tank sides, two and
one-half feet high, and to havo
fallen into the water.
Richard Deutsch, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Deutsch, was born on
April 30, 1938. Besides his parents,
he is survived by two brothers, Wilfred,
11; David 5, and Eileen 3, and
his grandfather, William Lenschowof
Charter Grove. One sister, Pau-
line, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held from
the Kebil home at West Elm and
Sacramento street this Saturday afternoon
at 1:30 o'clock.
