Deceased Name: D. Carl Warnock 1927 ~ 2003

------
D Carl Warnock, 75, was born May 5, 1927 in Sigurd, Utah to Irvin Leroy and Lexia Dastrup Warnock. He passed away February 28, 2003 on his farm in Sigurd, UT. He married his eternal missionary companion, Sybil Haderlie, July 2, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Carl served his country in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He graduated from Richfield High School and Brigham Young University. Mr. Warnock taught science and math in Richfield Jr. High and Middle School for 30 years. His students are scattered around the world. Elder Warnock served a mission in the Central States Mission as a young man, and three more missions in recent years with his eternal missionary companion: Barcelona Spain, 1991-92, Boston, Massachusetts, 1994-95, and Nauvoo, Illinois Visitors Center, 2000-01.

Daddy was an active participant in all phases of the Boy Scouts, still going on overnighters at nearly 70 years of age. He received the Silver Beaver award and was working with the New Scouts on their Citizenship merit badges at the time of his passing. He served as bishop, twice on the high council, ward clerk, Bishop's Storehouse manager, temple worker, stake missionary, and Dry Pack Cannery manager. As an exemplary and faithful home teacher, he always loved and visited his families.

Carl's life was filled with service, from helping one of the children with a building or remodeling project, helping a Scout advance, tilling the gardens of half the neighbors in town, to being Mama's chauffeur. Carl's favorite scripture was in Mosiah chapter 2 "When you are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God." His favorite hymn was "Because I Have Been Given Much." He loved and honored the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum, and loved and revered President Hinckley and other preceding prophets. Most of all, he loved our Heavenly Father and our Savior.

Carl and Sybil are the beloved parents of nine children, D Carl Warnock Jr. (Cindy), Highland, Rebecca Gilbert (Bob), Roosevelt, Rosalie Warnock, Sandy, Deborah Moulton (Kim), Orem, David Haderlie Warnock (JaNae), Riverton, Susan Jane Warnock, Sandy, Marianne Carroll (Tony), Elko, NV, Elizabeth Warnock, deceased, and Daniel Leroy Warnock (Janet), Holland Patent, NY. Also survived by 30 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Arda Jean (Don) Christensen, Irva Leora (Reed) Larsen; and two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Warnock, Paul (Helen) Warnock.

Preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth; his parents, Irvin L. and Lexia D. Warnock; one granddaughter, Lexia Melissa Gilbert; and three sisters, Elayne Reid, Idell Thurston, Marie Merrell; brother, Irvin Leroy Warnock, Jr.
