AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Callie Orander Newman, 74, of Silverdale Road, wife of the late James Edward Newman , entered into rest on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 3 p.m. with Reverend Billy Atkins and Mr. Dwayne Riner officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors include three sons, Steve E. Newman of Augusta, Doug W. Newman and wife Nancy of Lincolnton and Mark H. Newman and wife Jane of North Augusta; three brothers,
Jimmie Andrew Orander of Aiken,
Bernard Hillary Orander and Judson both of Augusta; sisters, Roberta Powell of Evans and Mary Walden of Augusta; grandchildren, Michelle Newman, Tina Newman, Steve Newman, Staci N. Riner, Lance Newman, Shanon N. Rentz, Gabrielle Newman Zackery Newman and Jillian Newman; six great grandchildren; 26 nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Ben E. Newman of Augusta and sister-in- law, Marie Michaels of Martinez. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her Parents,
