George Henry Brown, Rt. 1, Arthur City, died Wed., July 21 in St. Joseph's Hospital. Services Sat. at 2 p.m. in the Forest Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Clarence Hyatt & Rev. Frankie Dawes. Bright-Holland had charge. Born in Hopkins County, son of John Jackson Brown & Eliza Jane (Dye) Brown. He married Addie Lee Annett in 1913 in Oklahoma. She died Feb. 16, 1977. Surviving are 4 sons: Raymond Brown of Sawyer, OK.; Arlie Brown of Powderly; George Brown of Oklahoma City, OK.; & Edgar Brown of Forest Chapel; a daughter, Virginia Marable of Holdcroft, VA.; 29 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul in 1975, & Carl in 1933 & by 3 grandchildren. Bearers were Keithen Brown, Gregory Brown, Jay Brown, Randy Brown, Ronald Brown & Lynn McQueen.
