Loving Wife and MotherHelen Louise Bailey, 81, of Floris, Iowa passed away September 21, 2015 at her home. She was born October 13, 1933 in Wapello, Iowa to Clinton and Marie Otto Foor. She married James E. Bailey August 10, 1951 in Muscatine County, Iowa. The couple made their home on a farm north of Troy, Iowa for over 50 years. Helen was a Registered Nurse and worked as the Director of Nursing at the Bloomfield Care Center and later as a professor at the Indian Hills School of Nursing. After retirement she owned and operator a Christmas tree farm on their property, selling trees and making wreaths for the holidays. She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge and enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Michael (Denise) Bailey of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mark (Debbie) Bailey of Eldon, Iowa; daughter, Kristy (George) Bailey-Smith of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Jo Brewer of Muscatine, Iowa and Nellie Ecker of Fruitland, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, Bob, Walter, and George Foor; and a sister, Dorothy Harris.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date with burial of the cremated remains at the Hidabaugh Cemetery to follow.
