MRS McWETHY DIES
Mrs. Sarah Jane McWethy, one of Fontana's pioneer residents, passed away this morning at her home on Maple street, just north of the Foothill boulevard where she had lived for the past 44 years.
She was 80 years old, a native of West Branch, Iowa, and a resident of California for the past 45 years. She was a member of the Community church here and was one of the charter members of the local Woman's club. She had been ill for the past few months.
Surviving her are: two sons, LeRoy McWethy of Oakland and Jesse McWethy of Fontana; two sisters, Mrs. Delia Hargrave of Yorba Linda and Mrs. Bessie Wilson of Iowa; two nieces, Mrs. Mary Huston of Ontario, formerly of Rialto, and Mrs. Merle Sheets of Fullerton; and two nephews, Arthur Hargrave of Ontario and Charles Foulke of San Bernardino.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Simpson funeral home, Rialto, at 4 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday). The Rev. Mr. Anderson, former pastor of the Rialto Methodist church and now of Chino, will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot at Park cemetery, Rialto.
