RIALTO, May 11. - Mrs. Ella Miles, who has made her home in Rialto for the greater part or the time since coming to the state in 1893, died this morning at the Loma Linda hospital after a lingering illness of spinal meningitis.
For the past few weeks her condition has been regarded as serious and little hope has been held for her recovery. Mrs. Miles was born in West Branch, Iowa, 74 years ago. She was well known as one of the early residence of Rialto and has been manager of a rooming house here for some time.
Funeral services will be held at the Simpson chapel at 2 p.m. Friday. S. T. Hare, chaplain of Loma Linda, will be in charge of the services. Interment will be in Park cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Hull, Bakersfield, Mrs. Ralph Lewis, and Mrs. Harry Sennard, both of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. S. J. McWethy, Fontana. Mrs. J. W. Hargraves, Yorba Linda, and Mrs. F. E. Wilson, Lennox, lowa, and three grandchildren.

When Ella Nora Miles was born on December 29, 1857, in West Branch, Iowa, her father, William, was 31 and her mother, Elizabeth, was 30. She married Tom Corcoran in 1912. She died in 1933 in Rialto, California, at the age of 76.
