Walter D. Cement, 83, of 1811 Lowell in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Thursday at Bethany Medical Center. He was born in Viola, Arkansas, and had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life Mr. Clement retired in 1961 after working 12 years for the Cudahy Packing Company. He previously worked 28 years for Wilson & Company. Mr. Clement was a member of the Armourdale Tabernacle Church.
He was survived by his wife, Mrs. R. Grace Clement; four sons, Roy W. Clement, Lloyd E. Clement, John N. Clement and Robert G. Clement; and two daughters, Mrs. Alferna M. Day and Mrs. Bethel E. Coon, all of Kansas City, Kansas; a brother, Andrew Clement, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Barber, both of Viola; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
Friends called on Friday evening at the Butler Chapel in Kansas City, Kansas. Services were held on Saturday morning at the Armourdale Tabernacle Church. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery.
