George Earl Donahue, the son of Timothy D. and Mary Victoria (Odle) Donahue. He had the following siblings: Richard Montgomery and Bessie Helen. He married Irene Hall 9 Nov 1939 in Wise Co., Va. They had one child: Diana Rose.

He entered military service 28 Jan 1944 at Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. He transferred overseas in Feb. 1945 and served in battle in Germany.

George was killed in action 9 Apr 1945. He was initially buried in West Germany. His remains were returned home in Feb 1949 and believed to have been buried in Coeburn, Wise Co., Va.
