Sacred to the Revered Memory of
the Beloved Wife of Mr. JOSEPH VOSE,
Who departed this life the 20th of April, A.D. 1830.
In the 50th year of her Age.
Tread lightly, friend! this mound of earth contains,
Of Her we lov'd, the last, the dear remains;
A wife and mother, marvel not that we
Who raise this stone, should prize mortality.
The soul which erst did there enshrouded dwell,
In Heav'n keeps vigil o'er her earthly cell,
Assur'd that both, when time his course shall cease,
Will reunited taste eternal peace.
Requiescat in pace.
