Services for Francis (Frank) Isle Purser, a local resident since 1942, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdy at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1700 Lincoln Avenue.

He was the son of James Monroe and Sarah J. (Sykes) PURSER, a native of Tanglewood, TX. He was 94 years.

He and his family moved to Oklahoma and there he married Ellie Mae Bankston on Jan 15, 1911. They had 5 children: son, Milton Lester of Richmond; 4 daughters: Lorene M. Taylor, Hatch, NM; Virgie L. Beleele, Milpitas; Maxine J.Blue, Pinole; and Mary Arlene Wood, TX. He was among the first church clerks, if not the first, of the Free Will Bapt. Church of Non, OK for many years; he also served on the county election board for that area.
During WW II years, he moved to Richmond, CA., where he worked and lived for the remainer of his life. He was a charter member of the First Free Will Baptist of Richmond.
Frank was known as a quiet man, a man of intregrity who had many friends.
Services will be officiated by the Rev. Dean Moore of First Free Will Baptist Church; Burial will be at Sunset View Cemeter.
