Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence of Ernest Davis, 32, who died at his home in Grant, Alabama, Saturday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock after a short illness of pneumonia. Burial was made in the family graveyard in Marshall County near Grant. Womack was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Davis; one daughter, Katy Mae Davis; his father, Edward Davis; four sisters, Mrs. C. F. Gallagher of Birmingham, Mrs. Clara Harding, Mrs. Madge O'Neal, and Mrs. L. M. [Lucy] Nunnally, Memphis; six brothers, Edgar, Truman, Gardner, who are at home, Owen in the U.S. Navy, and Houston Davis of Guntersville. [only five brothers were listed]
