THEODORE WILSON BOWMAN, son of Harvey and Ada Heard Bowman, was born August 27, 1912, in Lebanon, MO and departed this life Saturday, August 11, 2007, in Lebanon.

On September 5, 1933, he was united in marriage with Rachel Bennett and to this union was born six children. He was preceded in death by two sons, Harvey and T.F. Bowman.

Ted, as he was known to friends, was a life long farmer, widely respected in the Lebanon area. He helped build Fort Leonard Wood in the late 1930's and early 1940's.

Many years ago Ted professed his faith in Christ and attended Oakland Moravian Methodist Church.

He and Rachel were active in the Democrat Party, where they made many friends. He was also a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge #192. Ted served on the board of MFA and the Selective Service Board during the Viet Nam era.

Ted enjoyed fishing, especially giging, gardening and hunting, but his first love was farming, and his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife of over seventy three years, Rachel, of the home; two daughters, Ann Patterson and her husband Don of Wentzville, MO and Sarah Wemett and her husband Paul of Lyons, NY, two sons, Jerry Bowman and his wife Jean and Mike Bowman and his wife Debbie all of Lebanon; three sisters, Bertha Cooper of Independence, MO, Nadine Rollins of Davis City, Iowa and Connie Hooks of Bakersfield, CA; one brother, Bob Bowman and his wife Jean of O'Fallon, MO; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ted was also preceded in death by his parents, ten brothers and sisters, and two grandsons, one who died in infancy and Steven Bowman.
