Yachtsman, Businessman. John D. Hertz Jr. son of the found of Hertz Rent A Car and Yellow Cab Co. (Originally named Leonard) John married actress Myrna Loy in 1942 but this marriage ended in Divorce. In 1952 his 72 foot yacht the Ticonderoga set a record 31 hours, 36 Minutes, 15 Seconds from St Petersburg, Florida to Havana Cuba. John Jr. also won the Walter Sullivan Trophy in 1953.Per Betty Tierney on WikiTree:
