File Suit For Divorce

Two suits for divorce were filed Monday at the prothonotary's office, both charging indignities.

Lester H. Lehman of Newville brought suit for divorce against Mrs. Thelma B. Lehman of Newville R.R. 2. They were married Nov. 27, 1937 at Newville.

Thelma Unger Gatten went to be with Lord on May 15, 2020 at 100 years and 6 months of age. She was born on November 7, 1919 in Shippensburg and was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Ruth Elizabeth Jane (Diehl) Unger.

She was an active member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Carlisle. Thelma was a loving homemaker and worked at Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co., Bedford Shoes and was a cook at the Carlisle Moose. Thelma enjoyed cooking, baking and canning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gatten and her two sons, Richard and William Lehman. She is survived by her daughter Martha Russell, three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Thelma was a beautiful person who was loved by her family and everyone that knew her.

Services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Elmcroft of Shippensburg, 129 Walnut Bottom Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
