Martha Elnora Craig, age 92 of Ozark, Missouri took her flight to Heaven early Monday morning, May 11, 2020. She was born May 31, 1927 in Ozark Missouri to Sam and Alta (Vawter) Chaves.
While many knew her as Martha, to her family and friends she was Norie. She graduated 8th grade in the one room Liberty School House then graduated from Spokane High School. The only thing that Norie loved more than her family was her Lord and Savior. As a member of Victory Baptist Church in Ozark, she served as a Sunday School teacher, Bible drill sponsor, church camp cook and church custodian. She always had a car full as she provided rides to church for many members. Norie was the third person hired at the Fasco plant in Ozark, Missouri and worked there until her retirement May 1, 1992.
Norie’s home was always open for women’s bible study, grandkid sleepovers or just visiting. She had a warm cup of coffee for the adults and a freezer full of pushups, ice cream cones and pizzas for the kids. Norie always said that her biggest blessing was her family. She loved crowded Christmas Eve dinners and Friday pizza nights at her home. She loved the sound of her grandbabies having fun.
Norie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Phillip Roussell and Clarence Craig, daughter Patricia Craig Steele and siblings Frank, Gene, Wayne and Hazel; four brothers-in-law Howard, Bill, John and Ron. She is survived by her sons; and son-in- law; 11 grandchildren , 31 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters sister-in-laws as well as many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank Kinder and Brooke and others from Preferred Hospice for their loving care for Norie.

Graveside funeral services for Norie will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 15, 2020 in Chaves Cemetery with Rev. Bob Long officiating.
