Adolph J. Dvorsky, 94, of 1413 Buresh Ave, Iowa City, died Saturday November 20, 2004 at Iowa City Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday November 24th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 220 E. Jefferson, Iowa City. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Iowa City. Reverend Kenneth Kuntz will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, with a rosary at 4:30 pm and a Vigil Service at 7:30 pm. A memorial fund has been established.

Adolph was born January 14, 1910 in rural Solon to Joseph and Mary (Serovy) Dvorsky. He married Rita Sedlacek August 16, 1938 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City. Adolph farmed near Solon until 1969 when he retired and moved to Iowa City to work for McCabe Equipment and Cline Truck and Equipment.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City, Marquette Council 842 Knights of Columbus 3rd degree, and Johnson County Farm Bureau.

Adolph is survived by his wife Rita, one son; Robert and wife LaRetta of Solon, two daughters; Joan Gringer and husband Ronald of Hills, Karen Weseman of Marion. Six Grandchildren; Randy Gringer and wife Tracy of Hills, Eric Gringer of Hills, Brad Dvorsky and wife Michelle of Solon, Brent Dvorsky of Solon, Brian Weseman and wife Annette of Columbia, South Carolina, Chad Weseman of Cedar Rapids. Four great grandsons; Jordan and Jared Gringer, Brandon and Brenton Dvorsky and one expected great grandson. Two great granddaughters Brittney and Brooklyn Dvorsky, and three nieces and three nephews.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Effie Novotny, and two brothers, Victor and Willard Dvorsky.
