Mrs. Catherine Huskins Blessing was born in Pennsylvania Feb. 4, 1842. Died at the home of her son Mr. John Blessing, who lives near Downing, Mo., Aug. 8, 1913, being 71 years old.
She was married to Mr. Jacob Blessing in Nov. 1866. Mr. Blessing died June 16, 1892.
She was the mother of 5 sons, four of whom are still living.
She became a member of the Fairview Christian church in 1892, and was a consistent Christian at the time of her death.
The remains were laid to rest in the Crowder cemetery Aug. 6, 1913 to await the ressurection morn.
The funeral was conducted at the home of Mr. John Blessing, by Elder A. B. Book.
