Pearl Blessing, 88, of Downing died Saturday (April 23, 1994) at Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville.
She was born May 26, 1905, in Hardin County, Iowa, the daughter of William Winfield and Alice Emily Willard Meyers. On Feb. 6, 1930, she married Roy Blessing, who preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Anderson of Downing and Wilma Collis of Queen City; two sons, Junior Blessing of Downing and Robert Blessing of LaGrange; one sister, Luella Emily Roberts of Marshalltown, Iowa; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Shuford Isaac, William Tommy, John Henry and Elzie Meyers, in infancy; and four sisters, Minnie May Jay, Fannie Gail Nichols, Alice Ernestine Freeland and Mabel Meyers, in infancy.
Blessing was a member of the Christian Church of Downing.
