Services Tuesday for Tom Myers

Tom Myers, 73, an Ames resident died Saturday* at the North Grand Care Center.

Services are Tuesday from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, at 1:30 p.m. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 6, 1901 in Hardin County to William and Alice Myers. Mr. Myers was a resident of Story County for the past 50 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Keigley, R.R. 2, Mrs. Arnie Smith, Slater and Mrs. Eddie Morrison, Roland; six sons, Kenneth of Davenport; William of Clarinda; Robert, Ray and Richard, all of Ames and Donald of Spokane, Wach.; 37 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, John, Cedar Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Freeland, Marshalltown; Mrs. John Roberts, St. Anthony; Mrs. Fannie Nichols, Clemons and Mrs. Roy Blessing, Downing, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, a sister, a son, Dwayne, and his wife, Rebecca, in 1967.

A memorial fund has been established. Gifts may be sent to Mrs. Robert Keigley, R.R. 2.
