Bessemer City – Darvin Capps, 72 passed away peacefully at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on May 5, 2020.
He was born in Cleveland County, on March 11, 1948 to the late Nellie Virginia Bell Capps and the late Lester Fred Capps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joey Capps, his brother, Ronald Capps, and, his sister Nancy Bridges Campfield.
Darvin worked as a sheet metal fabricator for many years. He loved to go fishing; being outdoors and enjoyed gardening. Most of all, he loved his family! He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memories includes his 2 sons; his 2 daughters; his brother; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday May 8, 2020 from 1:45pm – 2:45pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home 2916 Union Road Gastonia North Carolina, 28054. Private Graveside service will follow with Pastor Michael Horne officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Arthurs, Gary Wayne Arthurs, Daquan Crawford, Arkevius Thomas, Harvey Capps and Richard Arthurs."
