Son of Joseph & Hannah Davis. All of his children were born in Ohio. He married Rachel b. 23 Feb 1813, on 21 Nov 1829 in Clark, Ohio. She died prior to 1837.

They had the following children:

His second wife was: Matilda Furrow; married in Clark, Ohio Sep 7, 1837 (she died appx 1855/56). They lived in Shelby, Jackson, OH.

His 2nd wife appears to have died prior to 1856, as he shows up on an Iowa census for 1856 as a widower living in West Union, Iowa w/the Lippincott's (his sister Eleanor & family) and the following children, Lewis, John, Hannah, Rebecca Marion, Annanias.


In 1880 he and his daughter Rebecca (b. 1848 Ohio) were living with his daughter Hannah (Davis) Ayers (b. 1844 Ohio) and Hannah's family.
