Lon Childers Dies in Floyd
Martin – Alonzo (Lon) Childers, 81, Emma, died Wednesday in a Martin hospital. A retired merchant, he was a son of the late George and Rombia Boyd Childers. Survivors include a son, Foster Childers, of Emma; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Ferguson, Huntington, and Mrs. Maddeline McSillett, Marshall, MI; a brother James Childers of North Judson, IN.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at Emma Methodist Church.Burial will be in Clinton Leslie Cemetery at Emma. The body has been taken from Hall Brothers Funeral Home at Martin to the residence of his son.
