Mrs. Betty Franklin Brodnax, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Betty was born February 12, 1928, in . She was the last of ten children born to Ruth Ellington Franklin and Will Franklin. Betty graduated from R. E. Lee High School and began a career in textiles.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Harold Brodnax, Sr. Traveling was Betty's passion and she and Harold enjoyed many road trips seeing most of the 48 contiguous states as well as spending time in Germany, Belgium, and Austria.
She is survived by a son, Johnny (Sandy) Brodnax of Thomaston, and a daughter, Trish (Chris) Nigro of Clemson, SC; four grandchildren, Heath (Stephanie) Brodnax and Jonathan (Megan) Brodnax of Thomaston; Cindy (Will) Smoak and Alex Nigro of Clemson, SC; one sister-in-law, Joan Hill of Thomaston, and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside funeral service will be held in South View Cemetery.
