Services for Harlan E. Massengill of 3707 Tutwiler, a retired farmer who died early yesterday at Shelby County Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at J.W. Norris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi, Miss. Mr. Massengill, who was 84, was born in Henderson, Tenn., but moved to Rienzi at an early age. He came to Memphis 30 years ago. He was a member of Morris Memorial Primitive Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Viola Massengill of the Tutwiler address; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Burgess of 1130 Wright Road and Mrs. Ona Smith of Montgomery, Ala.; two sons, Hugh Massengill of 911 Court and Amos P. Massengill of the Tutwiler address; six brothers, Johnny Massengill, Bud Massengill, Burl Massengill, Bobby Massengill and Blake Massengill, all of Rienzi, and Audy Massengill of Walnut, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. E.D. Davis of 646 Looney, Mrs. Mattie Davis of Rienzi and Mrs. Sally Rinehart of Rienzi, 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
