Professional Wrestler. Born in Kona, Hawaii, he was raised and educated in Kealakekua. After graduating from Konawaena High School, he joined the United States Army, and while he was stationed in Japan he became interested in wrestling. Upon his discharge he was trained by the Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, and made his wrestling debut in 1983 with Pacific Northwest Wrestling (PNW) out of Portland, Oregon. Using the moniker "The American Ninja", he was teamed with Len Denton to form "The Wrecking Crew". It was while he was in this team that he won his first Tag title, and he would go on to hold that same title once more, this time with Steve Doll. In 1990, he was brought into the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as "Crush" to join Bill "Ax" Eadie and Barry "Smash" Darsow as the third member of "Demolition". He and Darsow won the WWF tag team titles but lost them at Wrestlemania VII in a one sided upset to Japanese wrestlers Genichiro Tenryu and Koji Kitao. Soon after this, the WWF disbanded the "Demolition" team. Brian Adams returned to PNW for about a year, wrestling under the "Crush" name. During this time, he won the PNW Tag Team Titles as well as the PNW Championship. In 1992, he left PNW and returned to the WWF where he was known as "Kona Crush" and he almost immediately started a feud with his one time partner Darsow. In 1993, he was allegedly injured in a WWF Heavyweight Championship match with Samoan wrestler Rodney "Yokozuna" Anoa'i. After taking several months off, he returned and started a feud with his on and off screen friend, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, and joined Harry "Mr. Fugi " Fujiwara and Anoa'i as a "heel" (bad guy), portraying a Japanese "Sympathizer". Once again he left the WWF, this time he went to the upstart promotion of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). There he joined a faction known as the New World Order (NWO) with wrestling world icon Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea as their leader. He eventually broke away from the NWO and formed the team of "Kronik" with wrestler Bryan Clark. After the demise of WCW, Brian Adams tried a new career in boxing but suffered a spinal cord and shoulder injury that forced him to retire in 2002. His death occurred in his Tampa, Florida home in 2007 from an accidental overdose of pain killers and anti-depressants.
