She was born Feb. 22, 1963, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Lanoah Thomas Hicks and Evangeline Louise Hicks.
Rachel was a program technician in charge of price support for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Harrisburg. She had worked there for almost 20 years.
She was the former secretary-treasurer for the Harrisburg Athletic Booster Club and enjoyed going to the beach, reading and shopping. She was of the Catholic belief.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Hicks.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Terry Biggs of the home; two children, Clint Biggs and Brynn Biggs, both of Harrisburg; her mother, Evangeline Hicks of Jonesboro; four sisters, Sandy Hicks and Tommye McNamara, both of Jonesboro, Lynette Ward of Pensecola, Fla., and Tricia Hicks of Memphis. She also leaves one nephew, Jason Gardner of Harrisburg.
Funeral services were held at Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg. Interment was in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Donald Glenn, Mike Bruce, Orville Martin, Nolan Evans, Doug Lancaster, Doyle Lancaster, Dub Mills, Jeremy Witt and Jeffery Gray.
