Mrs. Mary Kennedy Goode, 79, died Saturday at her home, 140 D street, Colton. Born in American Fork, Utah, she lived in Colton for 33 years with her sister, Mrs. James W. Metcalf.
She is survived by a son, Fred H. Goode, of Dunsmuir, and by a grandson, Warren Goode, of the U. S. Army; by two sisters, Mrs. Metcalf and Mrs. Walter Grimm, the latter of Glendale; three brothers, Dr. A. J. Thornton, of San Diego, William Thornton, of Stockton and Arthur G. Thornton, of Huntington Beach. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the I. M. Knopsnyder & Son chapel, Colton, with interment in Rialto cemetery.
