She was born on April 27, 1930 in Elkhart, to Bruno and Margaret (Huber) Muhlnickel. On January 26, 1952 in Middlebury, she married Carmon Cripe; he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are daughter, Kristi (Douglas) Edlund of Middlebury; two sons, Kevin (Karen) Cripe of Perkasie, PA, Kerry (Bonnie) Cripe of Goshen; six grandchildren, Joel (Melissa) Cripe, Kim (Josh) Cassel, Mason (Ashley) Edlund, Andrew (Ashley) Edlund, Aaron (Megan) Cripe, Mandy (Jason) DeMien; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Beth) Muhlnickel of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Orpha Muhlnickel; two brothers, Hubert and Fredrick Muhlnickel.
Margaret graduated from Elkhart High School in 1948 and was a member of Middlebury Church of the Brethren.
She was a homemaker, a dental assistant for eight years, and a secretary at Blosser/Karch/Big C Lumber Co. for 25 years. She was a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame of Goshen. She and Carmon were the recipients of the Book of Golden Deeds in 2005 and were the parade marshals of the Middlebury Summer Festival. She also played Mrs. Clause for many years.
Due to current gathering restrictions the family will hold private services. Services will be conducted by Pastor Janet Shaver.
Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
Memorials may be given to Middlebury Church of the Brethren.
