Funeral services for Maudie Gibson, 84, Quitman, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Vernon, Texas. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Inc.

Gibson died July 8, 2009. She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Oklahoma, the daughter of John Tolison and Dollie Smith. She was married to Lawrence F. Gibson.

Survivors include daughter, Wilda Snowden of Alba; sisters, Val Nolte of Ashdown, Ark., and Louise Friend of Haworth; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
