Aaron Choate, son of Constantine Choate (1789-1857) and Abihail (Choate) Choate (1787-1851), was born April 9, 1813 in Enfield, N.H. He married Oct. 8, 1837 Ruth Clark, daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Samson) Clark. She was born April 19, 1816, in Ashburnham, Mass. They resided in Iowa City, Iowa. Mr Choate died Aug. 16, 1892. Their children were:
(1) Morton M. b. March 5, 1839; m. April 7, 1865, Lew S. Childs.
(2) Martha A. b. Jan. 10, 1846; m. April 14, 1865, R.H. Allin.
(3) George H., b. March 5, 1851; m. Jan. 6, 1875, Minnie M. Robbins.
