Mrs. Carole Williard Hedgecock, 87, of High Point, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 at her home. She was born on October 9, 1932 in Forsyth County a daughter of the late, Clint and Ola Clodfelter Williard. Carole was a faithful member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was known throughout the community for her great cooking. She came from a Davidson County farming family and will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and community member. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur ‘Linzo’ Hedgecock, and sister, Norma ‘Teany’ Holder. She is survived by two sons, Mark Hedgecock (Janice) and Zane Hedgecock (Lisa) all of High Point; daughter, Lynne Choate of High Point; two brothers, Richard Williard (Helen) and Harold ‘Tubby’ Williard (Marva); five grandchildren, Chris Hedgecock (Tracie), Bradley Hedgecock (Ashlyn), Daniel Hedgecock (Jacki), Caroline Clark (Matt), and Chase Choate (Hannah); five great-grandchildren, Landon Hedgecock, Lexie Powell, Weldon Hedgecock, Trigg Hedgecock, and Wyatt Hedgecock; sister-in-law, Geraldine Fowler (Mirion); and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hollar officiating. Carole will remain at the funeral home until time of service and visitors are welcome to pay their respects on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem.
