DUMAS - Gregory Shawn Adams, 33, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Northlawn Cemetery.

Gregory was born Nov. 17, 1973, in Dumas to Donald and Mae Sosebee Adams. Gregory graduated from Dumas High School. He was a correctional officer employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 15 years. Gregory was an athlete and a very loving father.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Adams; his grandmother, Wilbertta Sosebee; and his great-grandmother, Maise Sosebee.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Mae Adams of Dumas; a daughter, Ashlyn Adams; three sons, Josh Adams, Austin Adams and Nolan Adams, all of Dumas; a sister, Kellie and husband Mike of Wildorado; and his grandfather, W.E. Sosebee of Dumas.

The family suggests memorials be to Texas Panhandle Mental Health Center, 500 E. First St., Suite 203, Dumas, TX 79029; or Alcoholics Anonymous, 1301 S. Taylor St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
