GILBERT, Ariz. — Rosanne (LaPorta) McGathy, 59, formerly of Waterbury, Conn., passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Gilbert Hospital in Arizona after a brief illness.
Ms. Mc Gathy was born June 12, 1948, in Los Angeles, Calif. She was well known in the music business as a promoter in New York.
She was the daughter of James M. LaPorta Sr. of Gilbert, formerly of Waterbury, Conn., and the late June T. Martone. She is also survived by a brother, James M. LaPorta Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; a nephew, Marine James M. LaPorta of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; and an aunt, Rose (LaPorta) Suozzo of Prospect, Conn.
Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury.
