A son of the Late Carmie and Chloe Tomblin Adkins. He was the moderator at Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church and was a retired surveyor for the WV Department of Highways. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran.
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother Jackie Roger Adkins and two half brothers Millard Ray Adkins and James Orval Adkins. Survivors include a sister, Lynna Gail Rohr, four brothers, Connie (Lois) Adkins, Obie Sanders (Jennifer) Adkins, Paul David (Janis) Adkins and Reginald "Mark" (Patricia) Adkins.
Special thanks to his good friends, Billy Perry and John Eric Booth.
There will be no visitation. Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, c/o Pastor Bill Osborne, P. O. Box 235, Genoa, WV 25517.
