Alfred George Hendricks, 73, of New Matamoras, OH busted through the pearly gates of heaven on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. George was born May 27, 1946 in New Matamoras, OH to Alfred and Gertrude Hendricks. He married Judy (Metheney) Hendricks on August 26, 1967.

George worked for the Washington County Highway Department until his retirement. He was a member of Deucher Baptist Church and was a member of the Matamoras Lodge #374 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. George never knew a stranger.

George will be deeply missed by his wife Judy; daughter, Kelley (Billy) Graham and grandson Christopher, several nieces, nephews, in-laws and a brother and sister.

George was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alfred and five sisters and two brothers.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland and Marietta Memorial Hospital for their care. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no visitation or services. Private burial will be held in Newport Cemetery. A celebration of life will be at a later time.
