On January 2, 1872, in Lawrence County, OH, Evalena Sims married Sampson Saunders McKeand (11 April 1846, Ceredo, Wayne County, VA/WV - 3 September 1935, Ceredo, Wayne County, WV). Evalena and Sampson McKeand had three sons prior to her early death, probably due to childbirth concerns.

Gravesite Details
Only a foot-stone with "H.E.M." remains, and twice I've had to rescue it from a stack of "waste marble" behind the older church building. Her grave is several paces south of her father's impressive tombstone, in the same row, before the wagon ruts.
