Private services were held Sunday, June 16, for Sidney N. Cahn, 83, 2734 Barbary Lane, who died Thursday, June 13, in Methodist Hospital.
A native of Columbus, Ind., he had been a dry-goods merchant in Indianapolis more than 50 years. He had owned the old Cahn’s Department Store at Udell and Clifton streets and also was associated with Hibben-Hollweg Company and H.P. Wasson & Co. A Navy veteran of World War I, he was a member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and was a five-year member of Monument Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beatrice Cahn, and a son, Sidney Cahn Jr. of Indianapolis.
