CARLINVILLE - Jacob Fries, 75, of Carlinville, a hotel manager for 29 years, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Carlinville Area Hospital.

He is survived by the widow, Margaret Fitzpatrick; one daughter, Mrs. Russell McCoy, of New Orleans; four brothers, Frank and Albert, both of Gillespie; John, of Cleveland, Ohio; Werner, of Chicago; and one grandchild.

The body was at Heinz Funeral Home.

Services were at St. Joseph Church, Carlinville.

Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie.
