Janis Irene Christianson was born December 9, 1942 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Chris and Marie (Mickelson) Christianson. She was raised and educated in Glenburn and graduated from Glenburn High School.
Janis married Wesley Brandt in 1961 and to that union their daughter Cyndi was born. They made their home in Bottineau and later moved to Glenburn. Janis and Wesley divorced. She moved to Minot and worked at the John Moses Air Force Hospital in the dietary department until it closed. She was once married to Don Voeller.
Janis enjoyed her family and friends.
Those who shared in her life: Daughter, Cyndi (Larry) Fredrickson, Upham; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Mandie (Tanner) Suchor and their children, Riley and Walker, and Jessie and Jamie Fredrickson; sister, Mary Ann (Harry) Richardson, Grand Junction, CO; brothers, Leslie (Sandra) Christianson, Glenburn, ND, Wayne (Dawn) Christianson, Powers Lake, ND and Kenny Christianson, Powers Lake, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Marie Christianson; sisters, Christine Marie Christianson, Carol Vaagen and Lorna Brewer; brothers, Norris, Phillip, Gary and Adrian Christianson.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial: Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Glenburn, ND.
Officiant: Rev. Don Andrews, Chaplain at Trinity Health
