Gary N. Christianson, 71, Glenburn, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, in a Minot hospital.

Gary was born May 20, 1933, in Minot, ND, the son of Chris and Marie (Mickelson) Christianson. He was reared and educated in Glenburn. He worked for Diamonds Department Store in Minot for a few years before entering the United States Army on July 25, 1956. Gary was honorably discharged from the Army on July 9, 1958. After his discharge he returned to Glenburn where he owned and operated the Glenburn Café'. After selling the café he worked as a custodian at the Glenburn High School. He moved to Oregon and worked at a cook for his cousin, Claudia Pfeiffer. In 1995, Gary returned to ND and lived in the senior apartments in Glenburn. In July of 2004, he entered Trinity Homes where he lived until his death.

Survivors: Brothers, Adrian Christianson, Tavares, FL, Leslie Christianson (Sandra), Glenburn, ND, Wayne Christianson (Dawn), Powers Lake, ND, Kenny Christianson, White Earth ND; sisters, Carol Vaagen (Vern), Colville, WA, Mary Ann Richardson (Harry) CO, Janis Voeller, Minot, Lorna Brewer (John), St. James, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Marie; brothers, Norris and Phillip, and infant sisters, Christine Marie Christianson.

Funeral: Monday, March 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial: Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery, Glenburn. Burial will take place in the spring of 2005.
