Roy Kenneth Johnson, of Hoopeston, Illinois, died early the morning of April 4, 2020.

Roy was a life-long resident of Hoopeston, Illinois until 2015, but has been living in Indianapolis, Indiana for the past 5 years near his daughter and her family.

He was born on September 20, 1936 to Harold and Mildred Johnson, of Hoopeston, Illinois.

Roy is survived by his daughter, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister. These survivors are daughter, Tricia (Phil); grandson, Nigel; granddaughter, Casey and great-grandson, Caiden all who live in Fishers, Indiana. His sister is Connie Kult (George) of Hoopeston, Illinois.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ellen and Joyce; brothers, Howard and Butch and nephew, Tony.

Survivors of his siblings include Judy (Butch) Johnson of Lafayette, Indiana and Myrna (Howard) Johnson of Hoopeston, Illinois. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Roy worked at FMC in Hoopeston in many different roles including supervisor. He retired at the age of 55 in 1992. He had a love for Corvettes, and was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, win or lose! Roy also had a very special soft spot for every dog he ever met.

Roy will rest alongside his parents, Harold and Mildred, and sister, Ellen, in the Floral Hills cemetery, Hoopeston, Illinois.
